Dr. José Martí is a professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UBC. His Research Group is a world leader in the development of models and solution techniques for fast transient circuit solutions of large systems, particularly in connection with the Electromagnetic Transients Program EMTP.
Research Interests
Real-time simulation of electric power systems using multi-computer networks, partitioning techniques for the solution of large systems, multirate hybrid systems, signal propagation in distributed parameter and frequency-dependent systems, switched devices and nonlinear elements.
